Soundtopia -
a morning in two volumes
What if all written language would disappear?
Through our
short film, Soundtopia, we present to you a design fiction that answers this question. As a viewer, you will experience two mornings in two very different futures, and come away feeling equally uncomfortable with both. Though this world is far from apocalyptic, it does show a dystopian society that struggles to find a balance between noise and silence, public and private.
Bard Montague, our main character, embodies the new values of this society. Like his namesake, Bard is the new world’s version of a poet - he is a voiceover artist, skilled in the art of sound. More importantly, his morning routine offers a glimpse into what daily life would be like in these extreme scenarios.
